At 9 am our guide awaits us with the e-bikes in the park Mariana Grajales, calle 23 / entre C y D, La Habana / Vedado, named after the mother of the revolution´s hero General Officer Antonio Maceo (1845-1896). As an alternative, an individual meeting point can be settled for closed groups. After a short introduction to the e-bikes, client’s bike adjustments to each individual height and some general information about the roads and rules of Cuban traffic, we are ready to begin our discovery-trip with the e-bikes. As you will quickly notice, the means of transportation in Cuba are different, at least as we are used to.
¡Vamos a la playa! Escaping on our e-bike from the lively-hectic urban life of Havana, enjoying the sun at a tropical beach and swimming in sky blue water, sounds like a great and fascinating adventure, that we can enjoy today. Not far from Havana, in Playas del Este, you can find beaches of fabulous beauty, waiting for us to be discovered.
We quickly start our trip, because after all we want to enjoy the beach and go swimming. After crossing the bay by the ferry, we continue our trip by e-bike, on a picturesque highway and discover rural villages at the provinces: Minas, Regla and Guanabacoa. In Santa María del Mar or Guanabo, we get off our e-bikes and enjoy a refreshing swim in the transparent and turquoise water, while a delicious lunch with seafood or terrestrial living beings will be prepared in a beach restaurant whose options will depend on our velocity of pedaling. Now is the moment of: Beach time! We enjoy a few hours the Caribbean beach atmosphere, bound with live music made by passing by musicians and the wunderfull water temperature. In the early afternoon we return with the e-bikes via Alamar, Cojimar and Casa Blanca to our starting point in Havana.
